A bankruptcy lender is a mortgage lender and or broker who specializes in providing residential home loans to someone either in bankruptcy or recently out of bankruptcy. Basically, a bankruptcy lender can help anyone that has been affected from a bankruptcy.

What does a bankruptcy lender do?

A bankruptcy lender knows the process and everything that happens to someone that goes through a bankruptcy. They know what the attorneys do and what information they need to get court approval. They know what the trustee does and how to communicate with them. A bankruptcy lender knows what happens to your credit and how to explain the credit to underwriters for loan approval. They are laser focused on finding bankruptcy friendly loan programs. Other lenders are generalists and good for a standard purchase or refinance.
